It was an attempt to joke about dancing on the bed, but I can certainly do that too.

I'd rather actually go out to dance than risk breaking the furniture. You don't need to bother with flowers.

Nothing that bad. Dress, slacks, nice blouse, whatever you're comfortable with. It's not too formal.
